A POPULAR pianist and singer is due to perform in Andover later this month.
The exciting musical evening will take place at Fairground Hall, Weyhill on Thursday 17th February.
The concert will be popular pianist and singer Simon Woodley’s first appearance at the Andover venue.
Simon, from Christchurch in Dorset, is known to entertain in hotels and restaurants across the South Coast.
He is currently resident pianist at the Harbor Heights Hotel in Sandbanks.
Simon is also a favorite wedding pianist and comes highly recommended by some of the most notable wedding venues in the south.
With a very varied repertoire, he creates the perfect atmosphere for any occasion.
As well as being classically formed, its programs include a wide range of music to appeal to most tastes and will be a great night out for audiences to sit down and enjoy.
The concert, organized by WEOS, Weyhill’s electronic organ company, starts at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) and tickets are available at the door for £6.
The society was formed in April 2002 on the initiative of a local resident, Terry Trevett (the current secretary).
It is the only such club in the Andover area or in the borough of Test Valley.
A small committee was formed and the society’s inaugural concert, featuring international concert organist Nicholas Martin, was held on July 18, 2002.
The event drew a packed audience at Fairground Hall, Weyhill, including Tony and Rita Gentle. Thanks to the hard work of the committee and a few willing volunteers, combined with the support and cooperation of several local organizations, it was clear that the endeavor was worth the effort.
