Brantley Gilbert is ready for a Georgia National Championship tattoo, but he’s understandably nervous heading into Monday night’s national title game.
Gilbert, who won the ACM New Male Artist Award in 2013, recently joined former UGA quarterback Aaron Murray for an interview. Sirius XM College released a clip with Gilbert explaining why he’s nervous as an incoming Bulldog fan on Monday night.
“Dude, I’m nervous, just because Alabama is Alabama,” Gilbert said.
The country star continued, “(Nick) Saban is a beast. We can’t help but acknowledge that this program is amazing.
Gilbert has said he hopes to see Georgia play the way they have in the 13 games they have won.
“Just play like they played the rest of the season,” Gilbert said. “Alabama’s entire season was on this game (the SEC Championship Game). Maybe we didn’t have that much to lose. Maybe this has prepared them and they will come the second time around and wear them out. “
