Mike Denver gave insight into the beginnings of his relationship with his wife Elizabeth as he recalled the first time they met.
The country music star married Elizabeth ten years ago and they share a two-year-old daughter, Mia, together.
Mike first met her at one of her gigs and, as they say, the rest is history.

“I met Liz in Rahugh, County Westmeath,” Mike told Sunday World’s My Country Life podcast. “Her two sisters, her mother and herself came to a Mike Denver concert and she came home with a husband very soon after, so she did it!
“She just brought her mom, she had no idea what she was going to do or what it was.”
Liz didn’t know who Mike was and didn’t know his music, but they hit it off after the show.
“It was a small venue,” he said. “It was a Tuesday night or Wednesday night or something, it was quite a small crowd. We chatted afterwards and haven’t looked back since.
“I think she came to get a CD. I tried to slip him my phone number or something!
Mike immediately knew there was a connection.
“She’s magic,” he exclaimed. “She is awesome.
“We have a great relationship. As they say, behind every good man there is even a better woman.”
Mike says they live a busy life with him in the music industry, but that has always been the norm for them.
“The first time we had a break was when Covid hit,” Mike said. “I was always go, go, go.
“She was always understanding and never cared.”
