Don’t worry about the future of country music, ladies and gentlemen. If need be, Jesse Daniel will strap it onto his back and carry it himself into the future. This California-born, Texas-based, road-obsessed, honky-tonkin singer and songwriter will keep the twang alive for years to come, and we’ll all be the beneficiaries.
Jesse Daniel is set to play a bunch of dates in Texas and then embark on a major West Coast tour, including appearances with Hellbound Glory, a big set at the Jackalope Jamboree, and opening shows will be the “Dean of the Honky Tonks”, Summer Dean. Daniel calls it the “My Kind of Country Tour”.
To prepare you for upcoming tour dates, Jesse Daniel has also released a studio version of a song some have probably seen him perform live, “Just Because You Asked Me To” (listen below), which is the single song from Waylon’s iconic album Hero Honky Tonk he co-wrote with Billy Joe Shaver.
Although people who pay close attention to Daniel already know that his heart, harmony and right-hand woman is his partner Jodi Lyford, this version of “Just Because You Asked Me To” gives Lyford the opportunity to pass a deserved moment in the spotlight. too much.
“Everyone has a ‘song’… A melody that takes them back to when they met a significant other and fell in love who stays with them through the years,” said Jesse Daniel. “People play these songs at weddings, birthdays and even to rekindle that old feeling long after the fire is out. Love songs bring out such pure human emotion in us and that’s what makes this song special for Jodi and me. It was a song that we just had to record at some point and I’m glad we did.
Tickets for the tour are on sale now, and some of these dates will sell out, so be on your toes.
