Thomas Rhett has praised Katy Perry for helping her songs ‘come to life’ as the pair collaborate on their new album for the first time
Thomas Rett praised Katy Perry for helping his songs “come to life” as the duo collaborate for the first time on their new album.

Katy and Thomas worked together on the main track of the album where we started, and the country superstar admitted he never thought the pop star would say yes to the idea of a duet. His record company asked if they could send it to Katy, and although he was skeptical she would respond, within 24 hours she had confirmed she was there.

“She really put a lot of time and effort into this voice and it’s one of the best,” he said. People magazine.
“I mean, she’s an amazing singer, but it reminded me what an amazing singer she is.

“I just felt like it really came to life.”
Thomas, 42, has been performing for over a decade and has had success with hits such as die happy and country again, but he is also the father of four daughters.
Katy collaborated with Thomas on his new album
He and his wife Lauren are the parents of Willa, five, Ada, Lennon, four, and Lillie Carolina Akins, two months, born November 15, 2021.
The couple were in the Willa adoption process from Africa when they found out they were also expecting their first child.
After the discovery, Thomas admitted, “I was completely shocked! No one is ever prepared for something like this. It’s almost like we suddenly have twins.”

“My girls are my whole world,” Thomas previously shared, adding, “There really is nothing more special than being a father to beautiful little girls and something I’m very proud of.
“It’s going to be wild and chaotic for the next 25 years, but I’m ready to embrace it.”
