I think “arty and pretentious” are bad word choices for Yes and the other progressive rock giants (“Moving Targets: If We’re Doing Vote Recounts, A Few Are Overdue,” Review, May 15). Instead, try brilliant, innovative, amazing, extraordinary. Have you ever heard “Close to the Edge” (the first album of all time ranked by Prog Magazine) or “Roundabout”, one of the greatest classic rock songs of all time? I have seen Yes live over 30 times. Arguably the best live performers with key members, all music virtuosos in their own right.

Joe Queenan states that there are no big rock groups in Idaho. He further states that he cannot explain why Paul Revere and the Raiders are not at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Indeed, Paul Revere & the Raiders originated in Idaho before becoming a national group.
