Organic :
Singer/songwriter Kate Boytek first took to the stage at the age of five at her local talent show.
Opportunities to sing were rare in Kate’s small hometown of Logan, West Virginia, nestled in the heart of the Appalachian coalfields. Kate sang at dozens of local charity events, led her church choir and eventually caught the eye of Vic Gabany, a West Virginia native and legendary Grand Ole Opry and Bradley’s Barn sound engineer.
With the help of Vic and the guidance of his late music manager and drummer Scotty Hawkins (Reba McEntire, Kix Brooks), Boytek pursued his dream in Nashville and appeared with country hitmakers Tyler Farr, Eric Paslay, Trick Pony and d ‘others.
But like a sad country song, Kate’s life in music was turned upside down when she was forced away from her dreams for nearly a decade.
Now a wiser, more seasoned performer, Kate Boytek has resurfaced with a writing style that’s both fresh and contemporary, while echoing the classic singer-songwriters of the 1970s.
Boytek’s upcoming debut album will feature tracks written by Kate with veteran songwriters including Britton Cameron (Lonestar, Sister Hazel), Kim McLean (Loretta Lynn, Trisha Yearwood and Tim McGraw), Brian Carper (Aaron Lewis). With career advice from veteran music executives Bernard Porter (Jason Aldean) and Burke Allen (America’s Got Talent winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.).
With a treasure chest of first-class songs and a personality that shines like few others, Kate Boytek’s career, like the title of one of her new tracks, is poised to go anywhere. . And we will watch.
