SOUTHINGTON — Tickets are on sale now for a country music concert at the Cadillac Ranch, with proceeds going to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
The ‘Concert for Kids’ show, which will be presented with Country 92.5 radio station, will take place on March 21 at the restaurant and country dance club at 45 Jude Lane. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. The event will feature performances from Kip Moore, Priscilla Block, Caroline Jones and Jordan Oaks. Proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Graham Nicholson, owner of Cadillac Ranch, said he hosts concerts twice a year to benefit charitable causes.
“We have supported St. Jude for 29 years,” he said. “They do an incredible job. Years ago the band Alabama performed at the Cadillac Ranch and now most country artists are happy to perform in support of St. Jude’s. We have a representative from St. Jude’s who attends all of our concerts, so the money doesn’t go through a collection agency.
Nicholson encouraged people to come out for a night of great music for a great cause.
“Most of these artists are new to the Cadillac Ranch,” Nicholson said. “Kip Moore is supposed to be really good and Priscilla Block and Caroline Jones are getting really popular. Jordan Oaks has been here once before and the crowd loved it. He knows a lot of locals.
Cadillac Ranch, which opened in 1992 in Plainville, moved to Southington in 1997 and is known for offering country line dancing, a mechanical riding bull and American pub food. Nicholson said Cadillac Ranch has also hosted concerts by 189 major country music artists over the past 30 years.
The “Concert for Kids” is sponsored by Love, Tito’s, Tower Energy, Pratt & Whitney, Window Nation, Trantolo & Trantolo and Lone River Ranch Water.
Tickets for general admission are $50 and VIP admission is $75. All proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
